WEBINAR: INTERCULTURAL LEARNING SCHOOL EDUCATION GATEWAY

Intercultural learning

Our increasingly multicultural societies emphasise the growing need to foster intercultural competence among young people, which is vital for effective and appropriate communication. Watch this webinar to learn how to enhance social inclusion in the classroom and include intercultural learning, both in different subjects and in other aspects of school life.

17 November 2020 | Duration: 67 minutes

What was this webinar about?

The first presentation aims at promoting the whole-school approach to intercultural learning and points teachers to tools for nurturing intercultural competence in the classroom. It also makes links to other relevant initiatives and programmes, as well as promoting possible partnerships for schools.

In the second presentation, you are introduced to the European Union and Council of Europe Joint Project “Inclusive Schools: Making a difference for Roma children” (INSCHOOL), which aims at enhancing social inclusion of Roma by promoting inclusive education and training. The presentation focuses on the project’s intervention logic and methodology, which brings together the experiences from the practice (school) level to ensure evidence-based interventions and adaptations at the policy level.
